Remote Travel & Work
Times are changing— especially the way people travel. People used to put in their PTO, wait for HR and management’s approval, and then book a flight and hotel that needed to exactly match their schedule. With the recent global pandemic, it is not the same anymore. More people than ever are working from home, allowing more flexibility in their personal and professional lives. Now people can work from anywhere— whether that be in a Montana cabin, a Joshua Tree yurt, or a Nantucket cottage. The options are endless and travelers are taking advantage. Travel has taken a completely different turn where people are doing long term stays and truly immersing themselves in the apartment/home/etc. rather than the city itself. Since most companies are allowing remote work, people are vacationing while working. Instead of sitting at a desk from 9AM-5PM, people are now sitting in Cabo enjoying a lovely margarita. If there is anything that has been learned in this last year is that work/life balance is essential and travelers are craving it more than ever.
AirBnB article: “As the pandemic persists, more workers and companies are embracing remote working as semi-permanent, or even permanent. One in three remote workers said they would move to a new city or state if remote working continued, according to a recent New York Times and Morning Consult survey. While travelers have long booked with Airbnb to immerse themselves in new communities and explore new cultures on vacation, Airbnb is now a longer-term option for more guests who are fortunate enough to have the opportunity to work from anywhere. Whether it’s temporarily relocating to be closer to family or taking the opportunity to explore a new community, Airbnb data shows guests are increasingly using our platform to support remote working and temporary relocations. Working from home is becoming working from any home.”
Stay Wildflower is encouraging this type of travel by requiring 30 days+ stays. Since there are two apartment complexes in Los Angeles, guests get the option of apartments in Brentwood or apartments in Miracle Mile stay. Each of the apartments are spacious and stocked with all the essentials. Instead of worrying about the hassle of buying a million little things for a month stay, we have done that for you! Our goal at Stay Wildflower is to change with the times to accommodate our guests—we want people to leave saying that their money was well spent. Our ultimate goal is to create the high-end experience of a hotel but the comfort of an AirBnB. The travel industry is changing in more ways than one and we are here to make the process as seamless as possible.
