November Giving Month

November is here! This is the month of giving back to our community. Our team will be highlighting different Los Angeles based nonprofits that are doing exceptional work during the holiday season. The selflessness that these organizations have is nothing short of amazing. Whether that is serving warm meals for the homeless or providing counseling for those who have been abused, the collective work in the city is a reminder of what truly matters. Helping those who are less fortunate.

Stay Wildflower is on the same page! From the start our founders, Jeff and Shannon Cowan, have made it a mission to give back a portion of Stay Wildflower’s revenue to Kiva. Kiva is a nonprofit organization that allows people to lend money via the Internet to low-income entrepreneurs and students in 77 countries. The mission is to expand financial access to help underserved communities thrive. Since 2016, Stay Wildflower has provided 2,810 loans which is equivalent to $70,850. Our outreach is beyond just Los Angeles but extends to different parts of the world.

People such as Zebinsa and Myrzaim from Kyrgyzstan are just a few of many people that have received our loans. Whether it is a means of supporting their jobs or simply providing essentials for their family, just a bit of money goes a long way. Since the holiday season is right around the corner, our team is fully aware that these can be difficult times financially and emotionally especially since the pandemic. We want to do our part in making the world a better place by giving back to those who are in need!

Join us this month as we continue our month of giving. If you feel inclined, find a local nonprofit that aligns with causes you are passionate about and get involved!
