Stay Wildflower x The Host Co.

This past month, The Host Co. interviewed our team on best practices as a vacation rental property. It was such a treat to be able to expand on what sets Stay Wildflower apart from other accommodation vacation rentals in Miracle Mile area and apartment rent in Brentwood. We touched on the different ebbs and flows of business that has led us to where we are today.

The most interesting question was “Has COVID changed your business model? Is there anything you are planning to change?” And in one answer, yes. At first it was daunting as a hospitality owner to see reservations book then cancel in a matter of minutes. This fluctuation made it quite difficult to forecast our occupancy and rate to ensure our business was still standing on its own two feet. Eventually we transitioned from doing short term stays that were less than a week to reservations that were 30 days or longer. This tapped into a new demographic which consist of remote workers and families. It proved to be successful and it is still a strategy we abide by! The essential part of any business is to be flexible and roll with the punches.

Another way that Stay Wildflower has grown during COVID was elevating our level of service. There is no better company than The Host Co. who is essentially a virtual concierge service. This business makes it incredibly easy to stock apartments with local products and basic necessities. Guests are that much happier knowing that their stay are embedded with these small touches that truly make a world of difference.
